Dear Sundowner,
I am writing to thank you for producing a trailer that I have truly enjoyed for the past 8 years. I own a Sundowner 720. I have always liked this trailer and the compliments I have received over the years on it are many, but that is not the real reason I am finally writing to you. I was involved in a trailer wreck in which my truck and trailer jacknifed at mile 54, 15 miles west of Amarillo Texas. As my truck was spinning on ice, my trailer stayed straight and true. My 6 year old son's brand new shetland pony was safe!!!! To a small boy who worked hard to save the money for this pony, this was a miracle!! Total damage to my truck was over $7,000.00. Total damage to my trailer was a "ding" about the size of a spread hand to the right side of the trailer. No structural damage, none, zip, nada. Needless to say, I was a fan before, now I am a walking, talking testamonial to Sundowner trailers. I have chosen not to repair the damage, it reminds me of how fortunate I am, and what a good trailer I have ( not to mention my incredible good taste in choosing Sundowner). Thank you for your attention to detail and for not cutting corners. I am truly grateful to you for my continued well being as well as that of my family and "Stitch". THANK YOU.

I have been interested in the safe and comfortable transportation of horses all my life. I have personally transported horses on the highways for more than 2 million miles. I have been interested in the design and engineering of horse transportation since childhood. I believe it's true that I was the first person to transport horses on a 45 degree angle when traveling on the highway. I found that the horses were more comfortable and therefore safer, traveling that way. I have studied many contemporary trailers, and in Sundowner I feel I've found the greatest level of attention to safety and comfort for the horses and people involved. Sundowner's efforts to design and extensively test products before putting their trailers on the road is what sets Sundowner apart. What's neat about Sundowner is that their open-minded staff is willing to study all avenues that would lead to greater safety and comfort in transport. They'll do whatever it takes to implement new features and constantly improve on their own designs, all in the name of safety, comfort and innovation.

I'd like to express my appreciation for your patience through our many visits to your place while my wife and I were deciding on which brand of trailer to invest in. We have had many different kinds of trailers over the years we've been in the horse business and started pulling a Sundowner several years ago. Our first Sundowner was a steel gooseneck stock trailer that we traded for an aluminum three horse with a finished dressing room. At that time I thought it would be the last trailer I would buy.
Now that we've retired we decided to go to a four horse with a full living quarter. We wanted to stay with Sundowner but after pricing the options we wanted we thought it was too expensive for our budget. So, we looked at several other brands but as you know we kept coming back to your place looking again and again.
We could have gotten everything we wanted from any of the other brands but in comparing quality and feature-to-feature we kept returning to talk to you. We crawled under trailers, went through them and could only see the shortcoming in the design, workmanship and durability of the other brands of trailers.
After considerable investigation we opted to stay with Sundowner. I guess once you've had the best it's hard to settle for less. I feel proud pulling my rig knowing that it's the best in class.

I think I am still in shock that our trailer came so quickly. You really are incredible. Even though it was sped through the line to meet our demand it still screams quality.
I love the black with the red stripe going down the side of the trailer. It is one hot number. We have gotten so many compliments on it and we all tell them its because you made it happen and because Sundowner is so ready to try and meet every clients needs.

After much research and comparative shopping, I made the decision to purchase a Sundowner ProStock gooseneck. I was impressed with the safety and workmanship of your trailers, little did I realize how this quality would ultimately be tested.
One night there was a high speed police chase in our community that ended in my front yard right into the front of my parked Sundowner. The suspect's car hit the front of the trailer on the driver's side, narrowly missing the gooseneck hitch. Law enforcement officers estimated the impact speed at approx. 30 mph. The trailer was forced backwards over seven feet across the yard, needless to say I expected the worst. When the tow truck arrived and removed the car from under the trailer the only damage was a broken jack handle and a tiny cut next to the landing gear. The following day I carried the trailer to my local Sundowner dealer for inspection and replacement of the jack handle assembly. Everyone was amazed that there was no other damage.
I wanted to let you know how much my mules and I appreciate the safety and quality of your trailers and the service and care that I have always received from our local dealership. There is nothing bad I can say about my Sundowner.
